Chateau Lynch-Bages is located just outside the city of Pauillac, overlooking the estuary of the Gironde, on one of the most beautiful, gravelly outcrops in the appellation. Many of our members visited the chateau in the spring of 2012 (approximately).
 
The chateau’s reputation as a top quality producer of Bordeaux took off in 1945 after a series of exceptional vintages. Since then, Lynch-Pages has continued to produce excellent wines, if during years considered difficult in the region. We are very fortunate to be able to taste their wines from select vintages of two decades.

The wines deep color and tannic backbone have become a part of its signature style. Jean-Michael Cazes, grandson of Jean-Charles Cazes, has worked had to develop and refine the wine’s supple and smooth structure over the years. Vintage after vintage, the estate’s precise and excellent winemaking techniques have served to firmly establish their reputation for consistent quality.
 
Portland Prime wine list has over 140 bottles and 40 wines by the glass featuring four wines produced exclusively for Portland Prime from the Willamette Valley. Their menu features the freshest northwestern seafood available, prime steads and chops, pastas, wood-fired baking oven specialties, hearty soups, creative salads, and an extensive selection of appetizers and side dishes.
