Bastille Day marks the end of the French monarchy and the beginning of the French Revolution in 1789. In 1880 Bastille Day was proclaimed a French national holiday. In France, most folks take Bastille Eve off and celebrate with festive balls and brilliant displays of fireworks – we will celebrate with tasty food and wine! Our returning chef, Yvonne Smith, has put together a lovely menu for a warm summer day and Bob Liner, Galaxy Wines has provided an outstanding list of wines (some old favorites and some new additions) to go with the food. A special opportunity to order wines will again be offered at the event.
