Assured that our loved ones whom have passed on would be insulted by mourning or sadness, Dia de los Muertos, honored as a National Holiday at this time of year throughout Latin America, is celebrated with food, drink, parties, friends and activities enjoyed in life. It is celebrated as a natural part of the human experience, a continuum with birth, childhood, and growing up to become a contributing member of the community.

Symbolic to this remembrance and rejoicing are Monarch Butterflies and Hummingbirds by their annual autumnal migration from North to Central America, in which departed spirits are represented by this journey, along with a multitude of festive delights with which to refresh & nourish travelers of all kinds!

After what has been a wonderful yet busy summer come refresh and celebrate with us in our Columbia Riverbank home and bring a donation to benefit the Oregon Food Bank!   Enjoy the lively strumming of Latin American duo Guitarists Mariano & Masud while you unwind with friends and savor the flavors of this special afternoon, then take home an island grown Autumnal souvenir!

Pavo Ahumado and Tamales will be provided!

Please bring:

  • Your beverage of choice; 1 bottle of wine , or other beverage of choice per person
  • A festive side to share
  • A donation of non-perishable canned foods, cash or check, made out to the “Oregon Food Bank”

If you would like a receipt please either write a check, or put any cash in a sealed envelope complete with your name and address.
