Enjoy the Starlight Parade after Spaghetti Dinner through the unobstructed picture window in our Private Suite overlooking 4th Avenue. But first, see the Starlight Run. Portland’s most popular Fun Run is cheered by more than 250,000 spectators who line the Starlight Parade route to see the costumed competition up close.
 
More than 4,000 runners are projected to run this year.  The Starlight Run is not only the largest Fun Run in Oregon, but also the most entertaining – with participants vying not only to break the tape, but to claim prizes for best individual and best group costumes.
 
The Starlight Parade offers funky, eclectic fun for everyone. From traditional marching bands and flood-lit floats, to glow-in-the-dark umbrellas and unique hand-built entries, you’ll see the best of Portland’s (and surrounding Northwest region’s) most diverse community groups together in one whimsical pageant.
 
The Parade continues a longtime festival tradition from the early 1900s, when illuminated floats built on electric trolley cars made their way through the city on trolley tracks. Today, participants light up the night with approximately 100 illuminated entries. The parade draws more than 250,000 spectators to downtown Portland. Don’t miss the fun of one of the Rose Festival’s best and brightest traditions.
 
Another great wine event beginning with the complimentary Prosecco and Pinot Grigio. Each person should bring a bottle of their BEST CHIANTI RISERVA to enjoy during dinner and afterwards during the Starlight Parade.

We find opening Chianti about 18 hours ahead of time lets it breathe just about the right amount of time.
