MC knew nothing about making wine but planted anyway because Chairman Atwood was so passionate about wine and there was very little wine produced in Thailand. So on January 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2014, Chairman Atwood visited all 5 member wineries of the Thai Wine Association with Master Chia for the purpose of consulting on MC’s new vineyard. Making wine in Thailand is very challenging for many reasons. Hence, there are still only 5 wineries today that belong to the Thai Wine Association. There are other wineries, but the best ones belong to the association. Chairman Atwood tasted more than 100 wines over those 3 days and “cherry picked” the 9 best bottles to carry home. One of which cost US$200 at the winery. They are the best of Thailand’s best wines, and Master Chia is going to attend this dinner in honor of our tasting of Thailand’s best wines. Thai Roses serves authentic Thai Cuisine. The actual menu may vary from below because Master Chia has a habit of speaking to restaurant owners in Thai to confirm we have what MC considers the best dishes available. The wines are: 2011 Village Cellar Chenin Blanc Deep Fried Thai Fish Cakes 2011 Granmonte Viognier Deep Fried Coconut Shrimp 2013 Granmonte Sakuna Syrah Rose’ Ground Chicken Lettuce Wraps 2010 Alcidini Reserve Shiraz BBQ Pork Ribs 2009 Granmonte The Orient Syrah Deep Fried Duck 2009 Ch.
