D' Yquem he happened to ask the winemaker in 1984 what was the best food to go with Yquem? The winemaker didn't hesitate. He replied "With Oysters in the half shell before dinner." This Educational Event will show us how Ch. D' Yquem, other Sauternes, and other dessert wines match up with oyters on the half shell. We will also try some baked oysters. Olympia Oyster Bar right below member Ava Stevens' condo, is an intimate neighborhood oyster and wine bar serving small seasonal seafood plates and unique oyster preparations. Each dish is inspired by Chef Maylin's Mexican heritage and the global flavors of Japan and the Mediterranean. Olympia's menu sets out to feature the honest beauty of seafood without over-manipulating it or masking its flavors. The result is a voyage into vibrant colors, fragrant spices, and fresh and crisp flavor combinations. Not your typical oyster bar!
