Dana and Chairman Atwood, luckily, have decided not to sell their home. Therefore, we will be able to enjoy their back yard once again. Bring out your "Chicken Hats" and join the WFSO’s annual Bastille Day Fete with “affordable” French wine and a casual dinner. Bastille Day marks the end of the French monarchy and the beginning of the French Revolution exactly 232 years ago in 1789. In 1880 Bastille Day (July 14th) was proclaimed a French national holiday. In France, most folks take Bastille Eve off and celebrate with festive balls and brilliant displays of fireworks – we will celebrate with tasty food and wine! Chef Liz Dodd (Owl and Anchor) has cooked our Bastille Feast twice before and has prepared an outstanding menu for this year. Bob Liner, Galaxy Wines, has provided an outstanding list of wines (some old favorites and some new additions) to go with the food. A special opportunity to order wines will again be offered at the event.
