NEW ONLINE REGISTRATION
2011 is our
25th consecutive year of putting on quality wine and food events
in
Online event
registration emails will be sent within a month of the event date to pay
with a credit card. Of course,
checks are always welcome as usual at anytime prior to the event.
But if you use the new system, we hope you enjoy it. We hope to
generate additional dues and event income to help pay for the new system.
To that end,
if you have any friends who might like to attend a trial Society event, we
will send them online announcements of upcoming events. Please send their
e-mail addresses to: jim@jatwood.com.
Sincerely, Jim Atwood, Event Coordinator

Important Messages from your
Board: Please note that your payment reserves your spot at events. Use the on-line reservation system or mail your check to secure your place. As a clarification, all guests are charged the non-member price for events. The on-line reservation system distinguishes between members and guests. If you elect to pay by check, please identify any guests and include the appropriate amount with your check. We have an updated
membership directory available. If you would like a copy, please contact the
President or Membership Chair. The membership directory is for members only
and not to be used for any type of solicitation.
The board is currently updating
our bylaws; they should be ready in early May and will be available upon
request.
We look forward
to a fun year packed full of great events, fantastic wine, and scrumptious
food. Hope to see you at an upcoming event soon!

|
SPONSORS/COORDINATORS: Please submit your event write-up, menu, time and cost by the 25th of the third month preceding your event in order for the event to be listed and advertised in the newsletter for at least two months prior to the event. For example, February event information should be submitted to Dawn Foster by November 25th for advertisement in the December and January newsletters. This will help generate interest and member registration in plenty of time to insure the success of the event.
|
|
WFSO MEMBERS: Please sign up for events as soon as you can so that Event Coordinators can get an idea of the number who will be in attendance. This is especially important when restaurants or catering companies need a deposit or a guaranteed number of guests to keep a reservation.
