Several WFSO
Board of Directors’ Members will be retiring at the end of 2010. We
greatly appreciate all of their contributions over the years - you will be
hearing more about that in coming editions of the newsletter.
Their retirement
opens the door of opportunity for YOU to get more involved in WFSO.
Our Board meets quarterly -- that's a time commitment of approximately 8
hours for meetings out of the 8760 hours in a year - any of us could handle
that commitment. Board members take on a specific assignment that is
determined when officers are elected - I will share more of that in coming
newsletters.
For now, think
about becoming more involved in WFSO. Our organization is only as good
as the members guiding it - we invite you to share your ideas and talents.
Our Board meetings are always fun and always involve wine and food - we hope
you will consider running for a Board of Directors position in our fall
election. Richard Stinson,
President

Important Messages from your
Board: Please note that your payment reserves your spot at events. Within three business days of making your reservation for an event, please mail your check or approve the use of your credit card with our Events Chairperson. As a clarification,
all guests are charged the
non-member price for events. Please notify Events
Chairperson regarding payment arrangement at the time of your RSVP.
We have an updated
membership directory available. If you would like a copy, please contact the
President or Membership Chair. The membership directory is for members only
and not to be used for any type of solicitation.
The board is currently updating
our bylaws; they should be ready in early May and will be available upon
request.
We look forward
to a fun year packed full of great events, fantastic wine, and scrumptious
food. Hope to see you at an upcoming event soon! |
|
SPONSORS/COORDINATORS: Please submit your event write-up, menu, time and cost by the 25th of the third month preceding your event in order for the event to be listed and advertised in the newsletter for at least two months prior to the event. For example, February event information should be submitted to Dawn Foster by November 25th for advertisement in the December and January newsletters. This will help generate interest and member registration in plenty of time to insure the success of the event. |
|
WFSO MEMBERS: Please sign up for events as soon as you can so that Event Coordinators can get an idea of the number of guests who will be in attendance. This is especially important when restaurants or catering companies need a deposit or a guaranteed number of guests to keep a reservation. |
